Yellow Pages signs 3-year deal including advanced support services

Oracle announced today that it has closed a deal with Dapey Zahav (the Israeli Yellow Pages) to provide it with Oracle Exadata Database Machine (www.oracle.com/exadata) .
Dapey Zahav will use Oracle Exadata in the company’s core systems.
Dapey Zahav will use Oracle Exadata for the company's data warehouse and Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) systems, and as the main platform for consolidation of databases.
With Oracle Exadata, Dapey Zahav will have access to better performance, easier systems consolidation, quicker data scanning, data warehouse shrinkage at a 10:1 average scale, faster random access to data, better service levels, and more, when compared to its previously used systems.

Oracle Exadata Database Machine is a full, robust, solid and ready solution which is delivered to the customer site after all the installations and configurations needed have been performed.
This solution is a complete package of servers, storage, networking, and software that is massively scalable, secure, and redundant. Oracle Exadata Storage Server improves the system’s performance immensely with smart storage services, enabling transparent and high-speed shifting of large chunks of data from the database to storage.
This solution provides tremendous computing power that delivers up to 50 times better performance for data warehouses, OLTP and consolidation.

We also provide installation and guidance at the customer site.”
