By upgrading the leading V200 and V210 range of volumetric water meters
with integrated electronic registers, incorporating advanced data features
and two-way radio communication, Elster combines its latest flow measurement
technology with Smart Metering functionality, producing a hybrid solution
that enables utilities to focus more effectively on water resource management
and consumer engagement.

Easy to install and commission, the V200 and V210 hybrid meters are fully
water proof and incorporate installation options to support improved
communication range even in the harshest of environments. Absolute meter
readings ensure data integrity, while advanced data features such as meter
operation monitoring, status alarms, water usage profiling and tariff
management provide additional information to the consumer directly or via a
wireless in-home display.

"The message from our customers is clear. They want Advanced Metering
Infrastructure (AMI) that incorporates a flow measurement sensor at its core.
We believe that the V200 and V210 product range, with the proven performance
of a large installed base worldwide, offers the optimum solution. Combining
an extended, accurate, operating flow range with the means to analyse and
communicate management data efficiently ensures that every drop of water
really does count," said Ian Holmes-Higgin, global product manager of
volumetric meters for Elster's water business unit.

"Enabling the meter to conduct data analysis and profiling removes the
need for continuous communication, maximising operational life and increasing
the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the entire system," he added.
