Latest Pre-Tested Configurations Include Oracle Linux Running on Oracle Systems – Program Continues to Enable Faster Time to Market, Mitigated Risk and Lower Cost

Three new Oracle Validated Configurations (www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/linux/validated-configurations-085828.html) are now available to speed the deployment of solutions based on Oracle Linux with Oracle’s Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel (www.oracle.com/us/technologies/linux/unbreakable-enterprise-kernel-ds-173416.pdf) .
The three new configurations consist of Oracle Linux 5 with the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel, Oracle Database 11g (www.oracle.com/us/products/database/index.html) , Oracle Real Application Clusters (www.oracle.com/us/products/database/options/real-application-clusters/index.html) , Oracle’s Sun ZFS Storage 7420 appliance (www.oracle.com/us/products/servers-storage/storage/unified-storage/ocom-sun-zfs-storage-7420-appliance-171635.html) , and one of the following:
Oracle’s Sun Fire X4800 (www.oracle.com/us/products/servers-storage/servers/x86/sun-fire-x4800-server-077287.html) server, an 8-socket rackmount x86 system, with QLogic FC HBAs;
Oracle’s Sun Fire X4470 (www.oracle.com/us/products/servers-storage/servers/x86/sun-fire-x4470-server-077286.html) server, a 4-socket rackmount system;
Oracle’s Sun Fire X4270 M2 (www.oracle.com/us/products/servers-storage/servers/x86/sun-fire-x4270-m2-server-077279.html) server, a 2-socket rackmount system.
