Oracle today announced its first ever Oracle Solaris Online Forum (event.on24.com/r.htm?e=298093&s=1&k=12D718A6822685EE6AD2390FC381A7AE&partnerref=pr) , which will take place starting at 9:00 am Pacific Time on April 14th, 2011.
Bill Nesheim, vice president, Software Development, Oracle will deliver the strategy update and kick off the comprehensive agenda of presentations and panel discussions, including a presentation by Gary Chen, research manager for System Software, IDC and the exclusive opportunity for attendees to participate in a live chat with Oracle Solaris engineers and product managers.
By attending the Forum, customers, users and ISVs will learn how the latest Oracle Solaris innovations can help run enterprise IT environments more efficiently, with greater availability and the highest level of security.

Oracle Solaris 11 will add network virtualization and resource management to the complete, built-in virtualization capabilities of Oracle Solaris, providing the highest performance virtualization environment with the lowest overhead.
In addition, Oracle Solaris 11 will provide new installation and deployment technologies, along with a brand new packaging system, to allow for greater flexibility and predictability in software lifecycle management.
