ROMSEY, England, April 21, 2011 - Roke Manor Research, a subsidiary of Chemring group Plc, has won The
Queen's Awards for Enterprise and Innovation, the most prestigious corporate
award in the UK. Roke was given the award for innovation for RESOLVE, its
modular manpack electronic warfare (EW) system for the exploitation and
suppression of hostile communication equipment.

RESOLVE is now in service with the UK Ministry of Defence and is doing
well in the global export market. RESOLVE provides users with rapid target
identification and geolocation through the use of a dedicated Management
Information System (MIS) and Geospatial Information System (GIS). The system
can be configured to meet specific operational requirements as part of the
MoD's ongoing commitment to enhancing ISTAR support for UK Forces.

The Roke team will be presented with the award by the Lord Lieutenant of
Hampshire Dame Mary Fagan DCVO, who is The Queen's representative in the
county.

The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are given for outstanding achievement
by UK businesses. The awards are made annually by HM The Queen, and are only
given for the highest levels of excellence demonstrated in each category.

Dave Smith, Managing Director of Roke Manor Research, said: "Roke has
been at the forefront of electronic warfare development since the 1950s and
our continuous programme of investment has created a world-beating range of
EW products. We are extremely proud that our commitment to innovation has
been recognised with such a prestigious award.

"RESOLVE is a step change in the technology that troops use, as no other
electronic warfare system provides such a high level of direction-finding
capability for soldiers on patrol. Winning this award for RESOLVE is
recognition at the highest level of what our team has achieved."
