Southern Air Appoints Oliver Gritz Managing Director, Europe

Development of Leadership Team Reflects Company's Growth -

NORWALK, Connecticut, April 7, 2011 - Southern Air Holdings, Inc. today announced that Oliver Gritz has been
named Managing Director, Europe. Mr. Gritz will oversee Southern Air's
European operations from the company's office in Cologne, Germany, reporting
directly to Daniel J. McHugh, Chief Executive Officer.

"Oliver is a highly successful executive with more than 25 years of
experience in the transportation and logistics business. His industry
knowledge coupled with his demonstrated track record leading complex and
diverse businesses in Europe, Asia and the U.S. make him an invaluable
addition to the Southern Air team," Mr. McHugh said. "Our ability to attract
an executive of Oliver's caliber is testament to our global growth and
success in building Southern Air into a world-leading ACMI operator."

Prior to joining Southern Air, Mr. Gritz was with DHL Express where he
held various senior management positions. From 2004 to 2009, Mr. Gritz was
Executive Vice President, Board Member and Chief Financial Officer of DHL
Express. He also served as an executive of the Swiss-based logistics group
Danzas, which was acquired by Deutsche Post DHL in 1998. He began his career
with the German Schenker Logistics Group in 1985.

Mr. Gritz holds degrees in Transport and Logistics from the
Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Loerrach, Germany, and in
Business Economics from the University of Passau in Passau, Germany. He also
earned an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development in
Lausanne, Switzerland.
