2D Datamatrix: The Most Popular Method for Serialisation?

Pharma IQ recently launched a survey with the objective of creating an easy-to-assimilate summary of serialisation requirements around the world.

Early results of the survey - which is still open - demonstrate that 2D Datamatrix is the serialisation method of choice currently being implemented in major countries and continents. At the moment, 2D Datamatrix is coming up number one, closely followed by 1D barcode Code-128C but on a several number of cases organisations are implementing specific methods depending on the level of serialisation required - “Every packaging level” and “package” among most responses on the latest.

This industry wide survey will remain open until the 5^th of October, final results to be released to the public  late October.  The results will also be presented and discussed by industry experts at Pharma IQ’s Pharmaceutical Serialisation and Traceability conference taking place from the 2^nd - 4^th November in Geneva, Switzerland.
