LONDON, October 25, 2011 -

A new home insurance scheme is offering £90 cash back to celebrate The Royal British Legion’s 90th Anniversary year, and raise vital funds for the Armed Forces family.

Poppy Insure, the Legion’s insurance introducer arm, will pay £90 cash back at the end of a claim free year on buildings and contents policies accepted before 31 December 2011.

With every policy taken out, a payment will be made to the Poppy Appeal to support the Legion’s beneficiaries. Each week, the charity spends £1.4 million meeting the welfare needs of those who have served, or are currently serving in the Armed Forces and their dependants.

The Royal British Legion’s director of fundraising and national events, Russell Thompson OBE, says: “We’re hoping homeowners will want to benefit from our 90th anniversary special offer and at the same time help us to really boost fund raising for this year’s Poppy Appeal. And the £90 cash back offer is a tremendous incentive to reward those who want to benefit from a competitive home insurance offer and at the same time help the growing needs of the serving and ex-service community.”

Anyone wishing to take advantage of the £90 cash back offer and support the Poppy Appeal should visit www.poppyinsure.co.uk or call Poppy Insure free on 0800-917-8541.
