In Kuwait, ANHAM Welcomed U.S. Defense Logistics Agency for Site Visit to Assess Progress of Transition

WASHINGTON, August 18, 2010 - ANHAM FZCO, LLC announced today that it is on target with its transition
to subsistence prime vendor for the U.S. Government in Kuwait and Iraq, and
will assume full responsibility this fall, as initially planned. This
announcement comes in the wake of a visit on August 9 by Defense Logistics
Agency Director Navy Vice Admiral Alan Thompson, who met with the senior
leadership of ANHAM.

Below are some commonly asked questions regarding the transition.

When will the full transition take place?

The original transition schedule suggested a target date of November 16,
2010
as the date ANHAM will assume full responsibility as subsistence prime
vendor in Iraq and Kuwait. ANHAM anticipates that all bases will be fully
transitioned on or before this date.

Is this transition on schedule?

Yes. The transition is fully on track and on time. A transition schedule
was detailed in a contract Modification 1, dated June 11, 2010. This
Modification is the implementing document for the six-month transition period
specified in the original contract award. It breaks down the six month
transition on a base by base basis, showing the final base to be transitioned
on November 16, 2010.

What is the nature of the previous vendor's role during this transition
period?

The previous vendor providing these services has been scaling back its
operations as ANHAM establishes its supply chain, all in accordance with the
transition schedule detailed in the June 11th Modification.

Why is there a transition period at all?

The subsistence prime vendor contract is responsible for being the
supplier and distributor for all perishable and semi-perishable food items
for all U.S. Government operations in Iraq and Kuwait. It is a massive
logistical undertaking, one that requires careful attention to detail to
ensure a seamless transition. The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency determined
that a six month transition period is appropriate to provide ANHAM the time
it needs to establish its supply chain while the previous company scales back
its operations.
