ConvaTec Appoints Erik Zimmer Vice President and General Manager

PARIS, December 22 - ConvaTec, a world-leading developer and marketer of innovative medical
technologies for community and hospital care, announced that Erik Zimmer has
joined the company as Vice President and General Manager within its European,
Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Based in Paris, Zimmer will have responsibility for a newly designated
region within EMEA, consisting of France, Benelux, Nordic, Central and
Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East, leading the ConvaTec organization
across three core businesses - Ostomy Care, Wound Therapeutics, and
Continence and Critical Care.

Zimmer brings to ConvaTec extensive international business development
experience, and joins company from Abbot Laboratories where he has held
positions of increasing responsibility over the past 10 years. Most recently
he was Senior Director, JAAACEE, including Japan, Asia, Australia, Africa,
Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, Russia, India and China, responsible
for all business operations of Abbott Diabetes Care. Before joining Abbot
Laboratories, Zimmer held roles in consulting with ZS Associates and in
marketing for Disneyland Paris.
