Ski and performance apparel leader Spyder Active Sports, Inc. today announced that Thomas McGann has been named the company's new Chief Executive Officer. McGann comes to Spyder Active Sports, also the parent company for Cloudveil Mountain Works, with decades of executive experience, including serving as President of Burton and CEO of Motorsport Aftermarket Group. McGann will be responsible for ensuring profitable growth and maximizing operating performance.
FRANKFURT and MUNICH, Germany - The chairman of the board of Fraport AG, Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Bender, and the Governor of the city of St. Petersburg, Valentina Matvienko, today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the Petersburger Dialog 2009 in Munich, in the presence of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Russian president Dmitri Medvedev. The declaration of intent expresses the efforts of the city of St. Petersburg and Fraport AG, to bring a successful conclusion to the negotiations concerning the concession contract for the development, modernisation and operation of the Pulkovo airport facilities.
MONTREAL - Rio Tinto Alcan has signed its long-term power contract for the Sebree aluminium smelter in Kentucky following an agreement on the terms and conditions of the Big Rivers "unwind" transaction. The new contract will secure power for Sebree's smelting operations through 2023.

In just 14 hours the messages overtake the Voyager 1 probe which is the most distant man-made object from Earth. Voyager 1 is a deep space probe launched by NASA in September 1977.
