WINCHESTER, England, March 3, 2010 - BOX-IT, one of the UK's foremost document storage and records management
specialists, is delighted to announce its merger with Stortext, a leader in
hosted electronic records management, scanning services and business process
outsourcing solutions.

The move will create a powerful new enterprise that capitalises on the
synergies of both firms - to provide total solutions in records management
(paper and digital) for government agencies, blue-chip clients and many
smaller businesses in a growing marketplace.

(Software and systems alone predicted worth $4 billion in 2010 - Gartner;
and achieved a 9.5% (predicted 7.5%) growth in 2008 despite the recession -
IDC Aug 2009)

The merger follows a successful seven-year working partnership between
Winchester-based BOX-IT and Stortext, headquartered in Bedfordshire.

The new business will have turnover of approaching GBP10 million and be
overseen by an executive management team which includes board members from
both firms appointed to the board of the new holding company - BOX-IT Data
Management Limited.

The trusted brand names, operating offices, operations teams and support
personnel of both companies will continue as they are. But the solutions will
be extended and enriched by each other's services.

As a result, clients of either company can benefit from secure document
storage and recycling, through to scanning and hosted electronic storage and
document processing. Data can then be exported into business systems for
streamlined, paperless processing to drive efficiency and contribute to
significant savings.

"The merger is excellent news for the clients, partners, employees and
stakeholders of both companies," said Simon McCowen, BOX-IT Founder and
Chairman of the group. "Our new business is in a strong position to address
the rapidly growing market for total records management and business process
outsourcing."

Simon Keeler, Operations Director in the new management team, commented:
"Joining forces is a natural step that leads on from our mutually-beneficial
business partnership. Now, clients of both companies can benefit from a
wealth of services - with their usual account manager as a single point of
contact."

Meanwhile, Simon Ellis, Managing Director of the merged business, added:
"The crossover in expertise and services create a seamless solution for both
paper storage and digital processing. This is ideal for forward-looking
companies seeking security, compliance and greater business efficiency and at
the same time reducing the environmental impact caused by more traditional
process and archive management."

It’s often the case that these kind of mergers put together some really good talents. I’ll be interested to see how Stortext and BOX-IT get on.
