- National Competition to Recognize Top Russian Education Directors for Exemplary Leadership Practices

DYMO™/Mimio® has partnered with School Director magazine to sponsor the 2nd annual “The School Director - 2011″ competition.  Hosted by one of Russia’s leading publications for school directors, the contest will recognize innovative heads of education across Russia who have overcome teaching challenges at their schools through creative implementation of interactive technology.

Designed to identify and study the best examples of managerial practices in Russian schools, the competition will highlight modern practices that school directors have employed to overcome problems in the secondary education system, while showcasing solutions to address these issues across the industry.

To enter “The School Director - 2011″ competition, school directors must submit an essay addressing the topic “Current Interactive Technology in Schools - Use of Interactive Equipment in Educational Activities in the Modern School,” for a chance to win several prize packages from DYMO/Mimio and other sponsors.  Entries will be accepted until September 1, and finalists will be announced October 3.

“It is an honor to be part of “The School Director - 2011″ competition and to give these dedicated school directors a platform to share the tremendous work they are leading in their schools using interactive teaching technologies,” says Laurence Huntley, general manager, DYMO/Mimio. “We commend School Director’s mission to bring attention to the challenges these educators face and recognize them for their professional achievements benefitting the nation’s schools and students.”

Among other prizes, the winner of “The School Director - 2011″ competition will win a grand prize package that includes the award-winning MimioClassroom™ suite of products, which consists of the MimioTeach™ interactive system, MimioVote™ assessment system, MimioView™ document camera, MimioCapture™ ink recording system and MimioPad™ wireless tablet. Semi-finalists will also win products from the MimioClassroom product suite. All winners of the DYMO/Mimio prize packages will also have an opportunity to receive hands-on training or product training through the company’s exclusive QuickLearn training program.

Winning submissions will be selected by a panel of five judges from esteemed education-focused organizations across Russia, including the Moscow Institute of Open Education, Corr. Academy of Information Technology Education, Regional Center for Educational Quality Assessment and Information Technology, and the Information Technology Publishing Company, “September.”
