LONDON, October 18, 2010 - Escapade fancy dress have used visitor trending, social networking and
sales to date to uncover their predicted best sellers for Halloween 2010 and
along the way they have uncovered a few surprises.

As expected popular culture plays an important role in this year's
predictions with a large number of users looking for fancy dress costumes
(www.escapade.co.uk/) related to recent blockbuster films. Queries and
purchases of vampire related costumes, fangs and capes are expected to grow
continually due to the success of the 'Twilight' series, while the new,
upcoming 'Harry Potter' instalment has been directly reflected in costume
purchases and visitor trending for the franchise on the Escapade site.

Another expected increase is the search for 'Alice and Wonderland'
costumes and, in particular, costumes based on the character of the Mad
Hatter, which have proven to be a popular choice since the release of Tim
Burton's
film earlier this year.

Classic cult films also have a large influence on the types of costumes
typically chosen for Halloween with costumes from the films 'Edward
Scissorhands', 'Halloween' and 'Nightmare on Elm Street' being among the most
consistent performers year in and out. Recent additions of female versions of
the iconic horror film costumes have also proven to be increasingly popular
with new Freddy Krueger and Chucky costumes for men and women rising rapidly
in popularity.

However the research has also uncovered a few big surprises this year
with increases of up to 35% in searches looking for comedy based costumes and
large increases in sales of comedy costumes in comparison to the last two
years.

Director of Escapade, Bhupendra Maisuria said: "We believe that the
current visitor trend towards comedy related costumes is a direct result of
people looking to escape from the reality of today's economy. More and more
people are having fancy dress parties at home and embracing the fun side of
life and we expect this to continue well into the New Year."
