etravel Insurance Advise Festival Goers to Book Early for Foreign Festivals in 2010

BASILDON, England, December 3 - It may well seem a long way off, but with the news that U2 are set to
headline the Glastonbury Festival next summer, now is the time to start
thinking about next year's music festivals.

Festivals in Western Europe, such as Spain's Benicàssim and Denmark's
Roskilde, are popular because they boast some of the world's biggest music
artists along with better weather, but prices are similar to what you would
pay for a home-grown affair, such as Glastonbury.

However, the rise of music festivals in Eastern Europe means that many
Brits are now flying to the Continent to enjoy the whole festival experience
in a foreign country for much the same price as they would just for the price
of ticket in the UK.

The Open'er Festival in Poland and Exit Festival in Serbia are two of the
most popular up-and-coming festivals in Eastern Europe, but there are
festivals springing up in Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia all of
which are serviced by low-cost airlines from the UK and cost significantly
less than any of the bigger festivals.

A spokesperson from etravel Insurance said "The rise in popularity of
music festivals on the Continent and even further afield is partly down to
the ease with which Brits can now access these more far flung destinations,
and partly down to the competitiveness of pricing in terms of tickets and
food and drink on-site. Add to this the much better weather and it's proving
to be an irresistible combination for more and more festival goers."

"With their increasing popularity it's important to book flights and
accommodation in advance so as to get the cheapest prices, and to sort out
travel insurance to cover your trip."
