LONDON, November 10, 2011 -

This was a degree awarding ceremony with a difference. The British Institute of Technology and E-Commerce’s Gala Dinner is an annual opportunity to reward students who have produced exceptional work during the course of the year. Thorough laughter, good food and entertainment were a few of the many highlights at the sumptuous Gala Dinner.

Taking place on the 4th November 2011, the dinner followed a capacity-filled graduation ceremony for BITE’s students earlier in the day at the same venue, right in the heart of London. 300 guests including staff and VIP’s attended along with representatives from leading companies who networked with graduates to discuss employment opportunities.

The evening started with a welcome by Dr Muhammad Farmer, the founder and CEO of BITE. The Chancellor of BITE, Lord Ahmed of Rotherham then delivered his indomitable fund of anecdotes, jokes and encouragement for which he has now become known for at BITE’s events.  He introduced the first guest speaker, Mr.Wajid Shamsul Hasan, High Commissioner for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who was followed by Mr P.M.Amza, the Acting Deputy High Commissioner for the Republic of Sri Lanka in congratulating BITE’s new graduates.
