Globus Medical Announces International Expansion

AUDUBON, Pennsylvania - Globus Medical, Inc., the largest privately held spinal implant manufacturer in the world, today announced the continuing expansion of its international operations and the appointment of Glenn Kenney to Senior Vice President of International and Corporate Programs. Globus has secured CE Marks for over 30 products across its broad portfolio, including six non-fusion products.

Globus has established direct sales operations in four countries — United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, and India as well as an exclusive distribution agreement in Greece. Business operations in these countries will be strengthened with ever-increasing clinical experience and sales recruiting successes. Mr. Kenney will be responsible for all international operations driving growth with the full line of fusion and non-fusion products that have fueled Globus’s rapid growth in the U.S.

Prior to joining Globus in 2006 as Vice President of Surgeon Relations, Mr. Kenney served at Teleflex Inc., where he was President of Teleflex Fluid Systems. Prior to that, he held executive and management positions with Synthes, Berwind, USF&G, and McKinsey. Mr. Kenney began his career by serving in the U.S. Navy as Lieutenant Commander, first, on the nuclear attack submarine USS Sturgeon, and later at the Pentagon in the Office of Naval Intelligence. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Naval Nuclear Power School in Orlando, and an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School.
