ESSEN, Germany, February 15, 2011 - Yesterday ifm electronic gmbh received the "Axia Award 2010" for
medium-sized companies in the category "Future-oriented customer cooperation
- from the customer idea to innovation" from Deloitte.

On 3 February 2011 Deloitte honoured four medium-sized companies from
North Rhine-Westphalia in the Hotel Intercontinental in Düsseldorf with the
"Axia Award 2010" for pioneering innovative strength. ifm electronic won the
award in the category "Future-oriented customer cooperation - from the
customer idea to innovation."

The family-owned company convinced by its extraordinary innovativeness
and unique close customer contact. These factors are an essential part of the
