Knight Libertas UK Establishes European Credit Sales and Trading Team

JERSEY CITY, New Jersey and LONDON - Knight Capital Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NITE) today announced that Knight Libertas UK has established a European Credit Sales and Trading team based in London. Effective immediately, Neil Robertson, Andrew Linford, Tom Goodale, James Holdsworth, Simon Marriott, Spencer Harman, Daniel Cohen, Michael Levy, Nigel Perry, David Fenwick, Kayyor Rao, Justin Perry, Andrew Carrie and Geoff Capell have joined the institutional fixed income broker-dealer.

Knight Libertas UK provides secondary market liquidity and credit-based analysis across a broad range of fixed income securities, including Investment Grade and High Yield bonds, Bank Loans, Emerging Market Credit and Sovereigns.

Neil Robertson, Managing Director of Knight Libertas UK, is responsible for managing the European Credit Sales and Trading team and reports directly to Gary Katcher. Among the individual team members, Robertson and Linford handle Investment Grade real money sales, Goodale and Holdsworth lead Investment Grade hedge fund sales, and Marriott and Harman cover High Yield sales. Fenwick and Rao complete the Investment Grade sales team while Justin Perry is a member of the High Yield sales team. Cohen, Levy and Nigel Perry run trading, with Cohen focusing on High Yield, Levy trading Investment Grade and Crossover bonds across sectors, and Perry handling financials. Carrie is Knight Libertas’ desk analyst in Europe covering Investment Grade and High Yield. Capell oversees operations.

Biographies Neil Robertson Managing Director, Head of European Credit Sales and Trading Knight Libertas UK

Neil Robertson is Managing Director responsible for the European Credit Sales and Trading Team at Knight Libertas in London.

Prior to Knight Libertas, Mr. Robertson spent more than nine years at UBS where he set up the firm’s Euroyen Bond business and grew its Japanese government bond business. He later joined the credit market team in the UK and became Managing Director responsible for the UK credit sales business. He left UBS and joined Knight in June 2009.

Prior to his work at UBS, Neil oversaw the UK sales business for all Japanese products for Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank International and, previously, did the same for Sakura Finance International. He also worked in Japanese bond sales as well as equity-related products for New Japan Securities Company. Neil started his career as a broker at TG Galgey and Company.

Neil has a bachelor of arts in classics from Exeter University.

Andrew Linford Sales, European Credit Sales and Trading Team Knight Libertas UK

Andrew Linford is Director, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Mr. Linford has worked at UBS for a total of 15 years, most recently as a Managing Director covering institutional UK Real Money accounts from 2003 until joining Knight Libertas in June 2009. He also worked for UBS (Philips & Drew) from 1989 to 1998.

In between his time at UBS, Andrew covered institutional UK Real Money accounts for Merrill Lynch. He started his career at Credit Lyonnais covering continental accounts in Germany and Austria.

Andrew has a bachelor of arts in commerce from the University of Greenwich.

Tom Goodale Sales, European Credit Sales and Trading Team Knight Libertas UK

Tom Goodale is Director, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Mr. Goodale joined Knight Libertas from Calyon Credit Agricole where he was a Director of hedge fund sales responsible for establishing and building a hedge fund team within fixed income credit. Prior to joining Calyon, Tom worked at UBS in hedge fund sales covering fixed income rates and currencies. He covered primary and secondary credit products for both U.S. and European clients. Tom also worked at J.P. Morgan Chase and Old Mutual/GNI in London.

Tom has a bachelor of science in economics with pure, statistical and mechanical mathematics from Reading University.

James Holdsworth Sales, European Credit Sales and Trading Team Knight Libertas UK

James Holdsworth is Director, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Mr. Holdsworth spent his entire career at UBS before joining Knight Libertas. Most recently, James was an Executive Director in UK IMG and hedge fund sales. He has been responsible for covering pension funds, insurance companies, hedge funds and proprietary trading desks based in London as well as clients in continental Europe and Asia. James specialized in Cash bonds and Single-Name Derivatives, from Investment Grade to High Yield to Emerging Markets. He also has experience in structured products.

James has a bachelor of science in psychology from the University of Edinburgh.

Simon Marriott Sales, European Credit Sales and Trading Team Knight Libertas UK

Simon Marriott is Director, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Mr. Marriott joined Knight Libertas from UBS where he was Executive Director, Leveraged Finance sales in London, for nearly three years. Previously, Simon was a Founder and Head of the High Yield sales team for RBS and also worked in High Yield sales for ING.

Simon spent more than 16 years at Schroders, most recently as Director of European High Yield sales. He co-founded the firm’s Asian Distressed group and was President of Schroders Structured Investments, both based in New York. Simon spent several years in Asia for Schroders, working as Head of the Financial Markets team in Singapore and establishing a Corporate Hedging and Investment Products team in Hong Kong.

Simon has a bachelor of science in economics from Southampton University.

Spencer Harman Sales, European Credit Sales and Trading Team Knight Libertas UK

Spencer Harman is Director, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Mr. Harman has been an expert in High Yield sales throughout his career. He joined Knight Libertas from UBS AG where he was Director of High Yield sales in the firm’s London operation.

Prior to working at UBS, Spencer was Director of High Yield sales at Barclays Capital in London where he was responsible for all aspects of leveraged finance sales. Previously, he was Vice President, High Yield and Distressed sales at RBC Capital Markets in New York. Spencer started his career in fixed income at Scotia Capital in New York where he was Director of High Yield sales overseeing accounts both in the U.S. and Europe.

Spencer has a bachelor of arts with a concentration in history from the College of Wooster.

Daniel Cohen Trader, European Credit Sales and Trading Team Knight Libertas UK

Daniel Cohen is Vice President, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Mr. Cohen joined Knight Libertas from Morgan Stanley. Most recently, he was a Vice President in High Yield trading in the firm’s New York office. He also served as an Analyst in the Investment Banking division of Global Capital Markets in New York and as an Analyst in Emerging Markets Capital Markets in London. He started out at Morgan Stanley as a Summer Analyst in Corporate Finance in London.

Dan has a master of arts in economics and a master of philosophy in finance from the University of Cambridge.

Michael Levy Trader, European Credit Sales and Trading Team Knight Libertas UK

Michael Levy is Director, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Prior to joining Knight Libertas, Mr. Levy was a Director at UBS where he was the Senior Corporate Trader covering Eurosterling Corporates. Previously, Michael worked at HSBC in a similar capacity as an Associate Director and Senior Corporate Trader covering Eurosterling Corporates. He started his career at CHP Consulting Ltd, a consultancy serving the asset finance industry.

Michael has a bachelor of science in international management and French from the Manchester School of Management as well as a certificate in business administration from the Groupe ESC Grenoble Graduate Business School.

Nigel Perry Trader, European Credit Sales and Trading Team Knight Libertas UK

Nigel Perry is Director, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Mr. Perry worked at UBS for more than 17 non-consecutive years in a variety of credit-related roles. Most recently, Nigel was Executive Director and Senior Trader, Bank and Insurance Capital. Previously, he jointly oversaw OECD Investment Grade Corporate Credit trading. He also was an Acquisition and Structured Finance Credit Product Specialist and started at UBS in Capital Markets Financial and Credit Risk for Interest Rate Derivative products.

Nigel also has worked for credit hedge fund Elgin Capital LLC where he was Head of Trading and Junior Portfolio Manager responsible for autos and auto parts.

Nigel is a qualified accountant and has a bachelor of science in accounting and financial analysis from the University of Warwick.

David Fenwick Sales, European Credit Sales and Trading Team Knight Libertas UK

David Fenwick is Vice President, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Prior to Knight Libertas, Mr. Fenwick worked at UBS in sales of Credit Default Swaps, Corporate and Government bonds. Previously, David worked in branch and client management for Abbey PLC. He also worked at Technical Aid International.

Kayyor Rao is Vice President, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Mr. Rao joined Knight Libertas from UBS, where he worked in Investment Grade sales with a focus on UK investment managers and banks. He began his career at Dresdner Kleinwort in Investment Grade sales.

Kayyor has a bachelor of science in banking, finance and management from Loughborough University.

Justin Perry is Director, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Mr. Perry joined Knight Libertas from Lehman Brothers International Europe where he was a Director in Fixed Income based in London and conducted sales across High Grade, High Yield, Distressed, Loans Cash and CDS. Justin also worked in Lehman’s Investment Banking division in Debt Capital Markets covering U.S. Corporate and UK financial issuers. He started his career at Lehman in Emerging Markets Debt Origination.

Justin has a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of North Carolina and a master of business administration from The Anderson School at the University of California at Los Angeles.

Andrew Carrie Analyst, European Credit Sales and Trading Team Knight Libertas UK

Andrew Carrie is Director and Senior Credit Desk Analyst, European Credit Sales and Trading for Knight Libertas in London.

Prior to joining Knight Libertas, Mr. Carrie was a Partner and Senior Credit Analyst at Cheyne Capital where he covered more than 150 companies across the range of Investment Grade, Crossover and High Yield. Previously, Andrew was a Senior Credit Analyst at Elgin Capital. Prior to that, he held positions in credit research at Nomura International, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, where he was Head of Fixed Income Research, Luthy Baillie Dowsett Pethick, and Confederation Life Insurance Company.

Andrew has a bachelor of science in mining engineering from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College. He is an Associate of the Society of Investment Analysts which is now part of the CFA Institute.

Geoff Capell Operations Manager, European Credit Sales and Trading Team Knight Libertas UK

Geoff Capell is Operations Manager, European Credit Sales and Trading operations for Knight Libertas in London.

Mr. Capell joined Knight Libertas from UBS where he provided operational support to fixed income sales and trading teams. Prior to that, Geoff completed engagements at Credit Suisse, Royal Bank of Scotland, Citigroup and Deutsche Bank involving fixed income trading and settlement. He also has worked at Merrill Lynch, Zurich Re and Janson Green.

Geoff has a higher national diploma in business and finance from Anglia Polytechnic University.
