Mavenir Systems, provider of innovative mobile convergence solutions, today announced the availability of the Rich Communications solution to launch new services over 3G and 4G devices. Based on the GSM Association Rich Communication Suite (RCS) industry initiative, and as part of Mavenir’s Converged Messaging services, Mavenir’s solution offers mobile operators an integrated, cost-effective platform for revenue-generating multimedia communications and social networking services.

Mavenir’s Rich Communications solution empowers mobile operators to launch new services over 3G, LTE, WiMax and wired broadband networks, giving operators opportunities to monetize across multiple consumer and enterprise devices. The solution, implemented on the company’s award winning Mavenir mOne Convergence Platform, provides a wide variety of GSMA RCS compliant features including instant messaging (IM), group messaging, presence-enabled contact list and multimedia content sharing. Mavenir also provides differentiators such as delivery of MSC-based voice services over IP, buddy locator, social networks aggregation and synchronization and backward compatibility of GSMA RCS-based IM with traditional SMS and MMS messaging.
