LONDON, August 18, 2011 -

Students joining a new undergraduate programme at London School of Business and Finance (LSBF) will be guaranteed a graduate level, full-time position within six months of graduation.

Believed to be the first degree programme to offer such a guarantee in the UK, the Trium programme leads to an undergraduate BA degree, several stages towards a professional qualification and a graduate development programme to hone students’ interpersonal and professional skills.

This three-pronged approach combines everything students need to start their careers and they can choose from four business and finance subject pathways; financial services, international business, marketing or accounting.

The innovative course has been designed to create the strongest possible foundation for a graduate entering the jobs market, and the three year course can be extended to include a year in industry work placement.

LSBF Vice-Rector James Kirkbride said: “In today’s competitive student market, schools have to offer more than just academic education. This is why LSBF is leading the way in offering a new course with a job guarantee at the end. Our Trium programme will give students an academic qualification, a pathway to a professional qualification and the practical skills to ready them for the workplace.

“We pride ourselves on our innovative approach to education and believe the Trium programme will help our students in securing future, long-term employment, primarily by satisfying industry requirements. We’re so confident of the employability of Trium graduates that we’re offering enrolling students a job guarantee.”

LSBF has two campus locations in the heart of London, the capital of global business and finance. The School is dedicated to making quality professional and industry-relevant business education programmes accessible to all and is currently accepting students through Clearing for the 2011 intake on a range of undergraduate courses, including BA (Hons) Business Administration, BA (Hons) International Business and BA (Hons) Accounting and Financial Studies. There are options to take the BA (Hons) Business Administration course with specialisms in Marketing, Human Resource Management or Finance and Accounting. Other undergraduate courses available at LSBF include the LLB (Hons) Law and LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology.

Reflecting the 24/7 nature of business, all undergraduate students will receive an iPad 2 as part of their course. This will enable new LSBF students to use mobile technology to access information, learning materials and keep in contact with advisors on the move.  Students are able to have access anytime, anywhere to learning opportunities.

For increasingly career focused students, the Trium course offers academic high achievers the opportunity to work towards a professional qualification, the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualifications and achieve a degree validated by one of LSBF’s partner universities, UCLAN or the Grenoble Graduate School of Business.

Undergraduate course fees range from £7,250 per year for the Bachelor in Business to £9,950 per year for Trium. Bursaries and scholarships are available. The award type and amount differs as per the individual’s circumstances and will be decided on a case by case basis. The scholarship received contributes to a reduction in tuition fees only.
