ROCHESTER, New York, February 12 - Performance Technologies (Nasdaq: PTIX), a leading global provider of
advanced network communications solutions, today unveiled their newest
product line, Xpress(TM), a portfolio of SIP-based applications and enabling
infrastructure targeted towards carriers deploying next-generation network
(NGN) architectures.

The adoption of voice-over-packet architectures by wireless and wireline
carriers, and the emergence of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) as the
predominant signaling protocol on these networks have presented new
opportunities for service providers to market media-rich and web-friendly
applications to their subscribers. Performance Technologies' Xpress(TM) is a
new approach for delivering these capabilities in the most cost effective
manner. Based on a pure IP implementation, new service offerings can be
quickly developed and readily deployed, network-wide, on IMS enabled,
converged TDM/IP and VoIP networks.

"Rather than relying on costly, circuit-switched, single application
platforms, Performance Technologies delivers multiple SIP-based services
starting with a single Xpress SIP Application Server, and can rapidly add or
modify services without interruption," said Patt Rice, Senior Vice President
for Performance Technologies. "Our strategy facilitates rapid delivery of
monetizing features such as Prepaid Services, Voice Messaging, and WEB/Mobile
2.0 interactive media-rich services in any IMS network on a right-sized
hardened platform."

Xpress offers service providers and application developers alike a
complete service development method to rapidly and cost-effectively deliver
profitable calling services and other NGN applications. Its open architecture
and variety of next-generation network standards - including SIP, IMS,
VoiceXML, MGCP, and XML, result in a remarkably flexible and scalable
multi-service development environment. Xpress includes web services APIs for
easy integration with service providers' existing provisioning applications,
a software based media server for IVR and announcements, as well as robust
billing features to optimize service revenue.

Featuring a wide range of configurations and based on Performance
Technologies' NexusWare(R) Carrier Grade Linux(R) distribution, the Xpress
SIP platforms are ideal for deploying reliable applications with built-in
OA&M support. Built on the company's line of IPnexus(R) Carrier Grade
Systems, users can expect five-nines (99.999%) reliability. Xpress also
supports an N+1 configuration within a cluster, ensuring that the failure of
any one server will not affect overall system capacity.

Performance Technologies' Xpress product line will be featured on their
Stand #2G39 at the Mobile World Congress Show in Barcelona, February 15-18,
2010
