The 2010 Automotive News PACE Awards (Premier Automotive Suppliers'
Contribution to Excellence) recognize exceptional contributors to innovation
in the automotive industry. Remy was honored at the 16th annual PACE awards
ceremony on Monday, April 12, 2010, at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in
Detroit, Michigan during the Society of Automotive Engineers conference.

Remy International joins twenty five other companies being recognized for
a wide range of innovations and automotive applications. Remy is the only
electric motor manufacturer to be recognized at the 2010 Automotive News PACE
Awards.

Remy International recently announced the HVH250(TM), their next
generation advanced electric motor for hybrid and electric vehicle
applications based on Remy's patented High Voltage Hairpin (HVH) technology.
Remy's HVH technology provides dramatically improved motor performance and
cooling effectiveness. The motor's world-class torque and power density
deliver increased range in all-electric drive mode and are compact and
lightweight to contribute to vehicle efficiency.

Remy Automotive of Hungary is advancing the art of the hybrid electric
drive motor. Remy engineers developed a technology for bonding the motor's
stator and rotor laminations using a proprietary epoxy resin. They developed
unique tooling and processes to ensure precision temperature and laminating
pressure in order to maintain optimal bonding force control for lamination
stacks. The resulting motor fits into the current transmission packaging of
Mercedes and BMW vehicles and excels in efficiency, power density and motor
size.

Remy Director of International Programs, Otto Szalavari, accepted the
award on behalf of Remy International and his Hungarian team. Tom VanderLaan,
Vice President of Hybrid and Automotive Global Sales joined Szalavari in
represented Remy at the event. Also joining Remy for this special recognition
was Hungarian Investment and Trade Commissioner, Miklos Martin-Kovacs.

Remy International CEO John Weber said, "We are honored to receive this
special recognition and are proud of Remy's team in the United States and
Hungary who made this award possible. With over a billion miles of proven
reliability, our Remy motors are well positioned to provide the international
market with scalable solutions that are available quickly and at lower costs
to help reduce dependence on fossil fuels and spur the adoption of hybrid and
electric transportation technology."
