- Pioneering project secures long term financing, launches gas extraction barge, and breaks ground for power plant
ContourGlobal announced today that it has signed agreements for a loan facility of $91.25 million with the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund, Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO), the African Development Bank, and Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries NV/SA (BIO) to support completion of Phase I of the company's KivuWatt project, an integrated methane gas extraction and production facility and associated 25 MW power plant located on Lake Kivu in Kibuye, Rwanda.
NEW YORK and WASHINGTON, May 4, 2011 - ContourGlobal announced today that the Multilateral Investment Guarantee
Agency (MIGA) has issued an investment guarantee supporting the company's
$142 million KivuWatt project, an integrated methane gas extraction and
production facility and associated 25 MW power plant located on Lake Kivu in
Kibuye, Rwanda.
NEW YORK, February 7, 2011 - ContourGlobal announced today that it has been awarded the Europe, Middle
East and Africa Power Portfolio Deal of the Year 2011 by Euromoney's Project
Finance Magazine for the $250mm financing completed in July 2010 by its
subsidiary, ContourGlobal Solutions.
MILAN, December 21, 2010 - ContourGlobal and Guascor Solar today jointly announced that they have
signed an agreement to co-develop 30 MW of photovoltaic projects in Italy and
that their first facility, a 6 MW photovoltaic plant in Sabaudia, has been
placed into service.
LAGOS, Nigeria, October 14, 2010 - ContourGlobal announced today that it will receive US$37.8 million in
political risk insurance from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation
(OPIC), to support the company's construction and operations of three
Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generation plants for Nigeria Bottling Company
(NBC), an affiliate of Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, S.A (CCH).
