Europe enjoyed a 24% rise in the number of Fibre-to-the-Home subscribers in the first half of 2011, according to the latest figures from the FTTH Council Europe, announced today at the Broadband World Forum in Paris.
FTTH CONFERENCE, MILAN, February 9, 2011 - The second half of 2010 was a period of accelerated growth in FTTH
networks, both in terms of buildings passed and subscribers connected, the
FTTH Council Europe revealed in an exclusive presentation to journalists at
the FTTH Conference in Milan.
BRUSSELS, October 26, 2010 - The number of fibre-to-the-home subscribers in Europe, including Russia,
has increased by 22% over the past six months, thanks to the booming
broadband market in the Eastern part of Europe, according to the latest
figures from the FTTH Council Europe, which were announced today at the
Broadband World Forum in Paris.
BRUSSELS, February 24, 2010 - At the FTTH Conference 2010 in Lisbon today, the FTTH Council Europe
unveiled the latest figures showing which European countries are leading the
way in the penetration of fibre-to-the-home at year-end 2009.
BRUSSELS, December 4 - Whatever the outcome of the long awaited United Nations Climate Change
Conference being held in Copenhagen (COP 15), one thing is certain: they will
be connected by fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) technology and offer remote
participation possibilities.
