NEW DELHI, India, July 29, 2011 - India Today Best Colleges annual survey began in 1997 to identify the top colleges in various disciplines in India. For 2011, INDIA TODAY partnered with The Nielsen Company and conducted the survey to determine the best undergraduate colleges in India in six disciplines namely Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Medical and Law. Much of the rush in the admission season centred on India's premier university for undergraduate study, Delhi University. Unsurprisingly, most of the disappointment and hysteria of not getting admission was witnessed in the college campuses of Delhi. A careful study of India Today Best colleges survey and the rankings should be an eye-opener for those feeling left out.
