HSINCHU, Taiwan, June 1, 2010 - Leading manufacturer of xDSL CPE chips, TrendChip Technologies Corp.,
announced today a series of IAD (Integrated Access Device) solutions, seizing
business opportunities brought about by the Next Generation Network's (NGN)
conversion of traditional analogue telephone into a fully digitalized, and
IP-based model. The first solution is TC3182P2V, a highly integrated IAD
solution for voice, video, data and wireless services. It possesses
high-performance ADSL2+ and 802.11n, and its carrier-level voice quality. The
second solution is TC3182LEV. This solution is especially designed to meet
the requirements of emerging markets' DSL-ATA (Analog Terminal Adapter).
These solutions also mean that current limitations posed by the relatively
expensive 4-layer circuit boards required by other IAD products will no
longer apply, and 2-layer designs can be used directly, bringing IAD products
into the new age of "being expensive in look, but not in price."

TrendChip Technologies Corp. has used the powerful processing core,
MIPS(R) 34Kc, 2 Virtual Processing Elements (VPE), and the multi-threading
system structure, in this series of IAD solutions, achieving not only the
excellent network performance of wired speed, but also enabling IAD to
maintain high definition quality in its voice signals even under high network
traffic, thus ensuring the Quality of Service (QoS). At the same time, these
solutions are compatible with RADVision(R) SIP (Session Initiation Protocol),
which is the most common in the industry and has full interoperability. The
solutions also offer voice compression coding formats, such as G.711, G.723,
G.729, and G.722, in order to satisfy the requirements of different
telecommunications specifications.

These IAD solutions include 2 types, TC3182P2V and TC3182LEV. The first
type, TC3182P2V, fully complies with the highly-integrated IAD specifications
required by telecommunications markets in the world. Its key functions and
characteristics are:

-- Leading the market in using the 2-layer circuit board as the reference
design, which effectively lowers the system costs and shortens the
time frame required for mass production
-- Uses PCIe interface to connect with 11n WiFi chips, offering real 11n
WiFi performance. It can also carry WiFi chips through RGMII, offering
dual-band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz, to transfer data and video separately,
providing IAD products with more powerful functions and higher
       flexibility to wireless users
-- Supports 2 USB interfaces, and can offer value-added services easily,
such as the Internet, FTP sever, and home security surveillance
-- Offers RADVision (R) SIP, which is the most common in the industry,
and has full interoperability, in order to satisfy different
       telecommunications specifications.
-- Uses PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) interface to provide VoIP's FXS and
FXO functions, and offers voice-related parameter setting interface,
using the same hardware platform to meet the requirements of different
voice standards. It also provides different voice compression coding
       formats, such as G.711, G.723, G.729, and G.722.
-- Carries the Gigabit RGMII interface, which can be connected externally
to the network switch, TC2205F, which is a Trendchip grade equivalent.
It can also carry the GbE Switch, which can avoid bottlenecks when
       transferring files between home computers
-- Offers complete remote management and detection industry standards
defined by Broadband Forum, including TR-069, TR-098, TR-111, and
       TR-143

The second type, TC3182LEV, is especially designed for the requirements
of emerging markets' DSL-ATA. Their key functions and characteristics are:

-- Compatible with LQFP 128-pin packaging and the reference design of
2-layer circuit boards, in order to satisfy DSL-ATA's requirement for
       a small and handy look
-- A 10/100M Fast Ethernet PHY is built internally, which complies with
the IEEE 802.3az industry standard, that is, Energy Efficient Ethernet
(EEE). At the same time, it can also detect network cable length and
unused network ports automatically for the purpose of power
       management.
-- Offers RADVision (R) SIP, which is the most common in the industry,
and has full interoperability, in order to satisfy different
       telecommunications specifications.
-- Uses PCM interface to provide VoIP's FXS and FXO functions. It also
offers voice-related parameter setting interface, using
the same hardware platform to meet the requirements of different voice
standards. It also provides different voice compression coding
       formats, such as G.711, G.723, G.729, and G.722.
-- Offers complete remote management and detection industry standards
defined by Broadband Forum, including TR-069, TR-098, TR-111, and
       TR-143

"Telecommunications providers in the world continue to invest in building
the next generation network, and traditional analogue telephone is gradually
becoming digitalized and IP-based, which will also drive the trend towards
voice, video and data for ADSL access equipment. Currently, IAD products
already constitute 20-25% of the entire ADSL CPE market. We believe that
there will be another wave of growth starting the second half of this year.
This will be especially significant in China's telecommunications market,"
Bomin Wang, President, said, "Fostered by the continuing policy of triple
networks convergence in China, telecommunications operators will encounter
pressure from cable TV operators competing in the broadband market. Hence,
telecommunications operators must pick up speed in introducing IAD products,
in order to offer Triple-Play services to maintain their competitiveness. The
solutions offered by TrendChip can satisfy both the highly-integrated IAD
market, as well as the entry-level DSL-ATA market, enabling
telecommunications system providers to deliver IAD products with the best
price performance within the shortest time frame."

Bomin Wang also said, "As the TC3182 solution is very competitive, and
has the advantage of being compatible with IAD specifications of operator
tenders, market response to this product has been overwhelming. Several
telecommunications customers have already used this solution to develop a
series of new IAD products, and the target release date will be in the third
quarter of this year."
