Exciting Events and the Unique new Canadian-style "Yukon Bay" Landscape at the Experience Zoo are an Invitation to Come to Hanover.

HANNOVER, Germany, May 21, 2010 - Anyone who wants to experience great adventures, wild forests, wolves and
bison now needs to go no further than Hanover, capital of the State of Lower
Saxony in Germany. The new attraction at the Hanover Experience Zoo goes by
the name "Yukon Bay", which plunges the whole family into a breathtaking
Canadian theme world for a few hours. Just like the gold prospectors of the
19th century, visitors can wander through a rugged landscape of 22,000 m2
with forests, ravines and caves, until at last they reach Yukon Bay. But
there's a whole lot more to discover at Hanover Zoo as well: Whether on the
River Zambezi or in the Jungle Palace, the animals can be seen almost in
their natural habitats, something found hardly anywhere else in Germany.

The Herrenhäuser Gardens, a cultural highlight of Hanover, are equally
family-friendly:. With the international firework competition, the Art
Festival, the Herrenhausen Musical and floodlit fountains, art and culture
are firmly on the programme here in both summer and winter. On 29 May 2010,
for example, Hanover plays host to Australia at the 20th annual fireworks
competition. Visitors can be sure of a thrilling time, because the team from
"Foti International Fireworks" are the people who produce the famous New Year
firework display each year on Sydney Harbour Bridge. And that's not all: Well
before the brilliant highlight of the evening, there's a great children's
programme and supporting programme of events that are sure to create the
right mood for young and older visitors alike. Other dates for your diary
include 21 August (Italy), 4 September (Sweden) and 18 September (China).

Also well worth a visit is Hanover's relaxation area in the middle of the
city, the Maschsee Lake. Whether sailing, boating or just enjoying that
special beach feeling, there's something here for the whole family. For the
last 25 years, a giant fete has been held on the lakeside promenade every
August - the Maschsee Festival (28.07. to 15. 08.2010). Some two million
people come every year to one of the biggest summer festivals in Northern
Germany
, and the main programme has so much to offer that it's not just the
little ones that are kept busy.
