RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, January 16 - Mr. Abdullah Bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Al Rajhi Bank announced that the bank has achieved a net profit for 2009 amounted to 6,767 million riyals compared to 6,525 million riyals in 2008 with a rise of 4%.

LONDON, January 16 - UNICEF joined the United Nations appeal for US$562 million (GBP346 million) for humanitarian operation in Haiti. The appeal seeks to provide resources to help 3.5 million people for the next 6 months. Key among the urgent needs are life-saving supplies of food, water, medicines and shelter. Give that nearly 50% of Haiti's population is under the age of 18, UNICEF has a particularly critical role to play and is seeking approximately $120 million (GBP74 million) for its work as part of the humanitarian relief efforts.
