Hotels.com Boosts Mobile Strategy With Two New Smart Phone Applications
By Hotels.com, PRNEMonday, May 9, 2011
LONDON, May 10, 2011 - Hotels.com, the world's leading hotel booking website, has launched two
new smart phone applications for iPhone and Android.
These allow users to search and book more than 20,000 last minute deals
from over 135,000 hotels around the world.
Available in more than 30 languages, the apps allow users to sort and
filter hotels, browse two million user reviews plus find last minute hotel
deals close to their location.
Users can book as a guest or create a Hotels.com account from inside the
app. The 'sign in once' feature remembers the email and password, so the user
doesn't have to.
Even without a data connection, all past and future bookings can be
accessed and the apps support WelcomeRewards, the unique hotels.com loyalty
programme that offers 1 free night for every 10 nights stayed.
For those who prefer to talk to a hotel expert by phone, the Hotels.com
customer service centre can be accessed by one click.
Scott Booker, SVP eCommerce for Hotels.com, said: "This is one of many
enhancements we are making in the mobile space. We aim to deliver an
unsurpassed hotel booking service for our mobile customers and these apps
will make it even simpler for our customers, and ensure they find the right
hotel quickly and easily."
