Guinness World Records Launches Record Breaking Experience for Team Building and Conferences
LONDON, January 5, 2011 - From today, Guinness World Records is giving brands the opportunity for
their events to achieve record-breaking status with the launch of GWR Live!
Conference and Teambuild.
The thrill of live record breaking explodes into the business arena to
add a unique experience to teambuilding events and business conferences. GWR
Live! Conference and Teambuild uses record breaking to promote excellence and
team work, and create a genuine sense of shared achievement.
With the package, record breaking challenges are tailored to the
individual business and specific records can bring corporate messages to
life. The experience combines individual record breaking challenges with a
group 'mass participation' record to engage all delegates and allow everyone
to walk away as the holder of a Guinness World Records title.
The launch of the package follows two highly successful UK pilot events
in 2010. In line with the exclusive nature of the experience, GWR Live!
Conference and Teambuild will only be open to a select number of companies
and is limited to just 25 record breaking teambuilding or conference events
during 2011.
Guinness World Records transforms everyday items and tasks, such as
counting money or stacking dice, in to world class achievements. Record
challenges can be mastered and attempted in minutes, but are always are
judged by the same strict rules governing record breaking.
Unlike other team building events, which require significant set-up and
preparation, encroaching on the important teambuilding time, the GWR Live!
Conference and Teambuild is ready to go within five minutes. Official
Guinness World Records judges lead the record-breaking experience and will
adjudicate record attempt live, announcing new world records immediately.
As Paul O'Neill explains: "The exceptional experience of attempting and
achieving a Guinness World Records title is a once in a lifetime opportunity
for most people. Now brands can create that unforgettable moment for staff at
their own event."
Brands who have already undertaken the record-breaking experience include
MEC, one of the UK's biggest media planning and buying agencies, and QAS, the
Experian-owned data management specialist. The new GWR Live! package will be
operated by Fern Holland who joins Guinness World Records from MotivAction
and seven years experience in the creation and delivery of live events.
