Advance Auto Parts, Chicos, National Pen and Netshoes Receive Recognition for Innovation and Best Practices

Oracle announced its 2011 Retail Excellence Award recipients Advance Auto Parts, Chicos FAS, National Pen Company and Netshoes as part of its annual Oracle Retail CrossTalk conference.
The Oracle Retail Excellence Awards recognize outstanding customer achievements in business performance, customer experience, innovation, and leadership.
Stephen Carvelli, Director of eCommerce at Chico’s FAS, was named Retail Executive of the Year for his masterful ability to manage business change, advocacy of cross-channel commerce technology and knowledge of how ecommerce technology is applied in retail environments.
Shankar Sitapati, Director, Applications at National Pen LLC, was awarded CIO of the Year for his superb leadership and expertise that revolutionized National Pen’s ecommerce capabilities, and improved satisfaction by allowing customers to configure and design their products across different sales channels.
Netshoes received the award for Innovator of the Year. The company created an enhanced web presence designed to enable online business growth, attract new customers and accommodate the evolving needs of its existing consumer base.
Advance Auto Parts was awarded Outstanding Achievement in Business Performance for its transformation of business operations across all channels that resulted in better competitive pricing decisions and greater revenue.
Chico’s FAS received the award for Outstanding Achievement in Customer Experience. The company strengthened its Web store to drive customer loyalty and reduce site abandonment rates by proactively engaging visitors and directly connecting them with customer service associates.
The 2011 Retail Excellence Awards winners were selected by CrossTalk attendees based on a list of finalists determined by the Oracle Retail community.
