LONDON, February 9, 2011 - The Wholesale Applications Community (WAC), an alliance of
telecommunications companies committed to building an open applications
platform, today announced that 10 additional organisations from across the
mobile ecosystem have joined the initiative, taking membership levels to 68
companies in the lead up to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

been selected as the short list of cities vying to become the "Mobile World

The GSMA today announced that the CEOs of some of the world's largest and most influential mobile operators, including Bharti Airtel, China Mobile, China Unicom, CSL, NTT DOCOMO, SoftBank Mobile, Telenor and Zain will deliver keynotes at the 2009 Mobile Asia Congress to be held 18-19 November 2009 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
