- Award Presented to Clients Demonstrating Product Innovation Using Eagle Solutions
Eagle Investment Systems LLC, a leading provider of financial services technology and a subsidiary of BNY Mellon, today announced that it has presented AGF Management Limited (AGF) the Eagle Innovation Award, an honor given to clients for achievement in product innovation. The award was made at the recent 2011 Eagle Client Conference held in Boca Raton, Florida.
AGF provides investment management services to advisor, institutional and high-net-worth clients from its offices across Canada and subsidiaries around the world. Based in Toronto, AGF manages approximately $50 billion CAD in AUM. AGF won the award due to its creative use of the Eagle platform including the generation of more than 500 fund fact sheets to support the Ontario Securities Commission’s point of sale regulations across all of AGF’s multi class funds. These documents are generated and automatically pushed to the AGF website using the Eagle platform.
“Eagle was very impressed with the creativity and cost savings that AGF realized using the Eagle suite,” said John Lehner, Eagle CEO and president. “AGF exemplifies a true client success story resulting from innovation, collaboration, commitment and efficiencies.”
Chris Jackson, chief information officer, senior vice president, Operations and IT at AGF was a guest presenter at the Eagle client conference. In his presentation, Mr. Jackson discussed how AGF leverages Eagle ACCESS(SM)[ ]and the workflow tools across Eagle’s portfolio management solution to achieve one well governed source of data for the entire investments division. He also discussed how centralized data management allowed the firm to improve data quality and distribution and discover new and interesting uses of its data. Because of these efficiency increases, AGF saved more than $1 million by leveraging the centralized source of investment data needed to generate the fund fact sheets.
“AGF has made tremendous strides through the use of Eagle solutions,” said Mr. Jackson. “In addition to our data management and accounting benefits, we were able to efficiently integrate a recent acquisition company into our system and processes in three months. Our use of the Eagle suite is limitless and we look forward to future rewards from this investment.”
