Bacula Systems Appoints Frank Barker as CEO

Mr. Barker succeeds Dr. Kern Sibbald, who has served as interim CEO since May 2011. Dr. Sibbald will remain active on the Board of Directors, while continuing in his parallel role of CTO where his focus will be on product development and strategies, including highly scalable technologies for data centers, cloud integration and Big Data backup and restore.
Mr. Barker has a winning track record of scaling technology companies and launching new strategies in high-growth markets over the last 15 years. He is well known for his successes in running software, services and solutions businesses in cloud computing and enterprise markets. Having spent several years living and working in the US he is well placed to lead the Americas expansion of Bacula Systems. He also brings the experience of growing a Swiss based technology business internationally across Europe and into Asia Pacific, having successfully done so for several technology companies already.
