Botanical Skincare Design Win’s Sloane in Bloom, 2009

LONDON - For just four days a year, 19th - 22nd May, the stunning outfits and covetable accessories on display from the world’s leading fashion brands aren’t the things that really catch the eye, as you stroll around the Sloane Square area.
Each year, in support of the famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show, participating retailers transform their stores with beautiful floral art installations in the horticultural world’s, own version of a catwalk fashion show, the “Sloane in Bloom” festival.
Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare created a “British Botanical Woodland” using the natural botanicals and plants who’s extracts are used in their bestselling beauty range. The woodland featured hazel trees, peppermint, rosemary and lavender.
The display was chosen as winner by the panel of experts from the Royal Horticultural Society including highly respected horticulturalist, Dougal Philip. The display was designed by Liz Earle’s Botanical Research Manager, Jennifer Hirsch. Both a graduate of Kew’s prestigious Horticulture Diploma, and a Chelsea medal-winning, garden designer, Jennifer was able to combine her knowledge of botany and research, with the creative challenge presented by the Sloane in Bloom competition.
