BURTON UPON TRENT, England, April 7, 2011 - Healthcare at Home Ltd (www.hah.co.uk), Europe's
leading provider of home healthcare and value-adding pharmaceutical services,
announces that it has appointed Nigel Brooksby as a Senior Strategic Advisor
and Graeme Duncan as Director of Strategy, for the Company's fast-growing
pharmaceutical services business.
Nigel Brooksby has almost 40 years' experience in the life
sciences industry. Most recently he held the position of Chairman and
Managing Director of sanofi-aventis in the UK, where he was also a member of
sanofi-aventis' European Executive Committee. From 2008 to 2010 Nigel held
the position of President of the UK's Association of the British
Pharmaceutical Industry and served as a member of the Confederation of

sciences, academic, and government positions at a senior board level,
including representing the life sciences industry on the Cogent Board and
being Chair of the Cogent Life Sciences Skills Strategy Board. Nigel will
work closely with the Senior Management Team at Healthcare at Home, advising
on the formulation of both innovative services and strategic partnerships
within the pharmaceutical sector.
Commenting on his appointment, Nigel Brooksby said: "I am
delighted to be working with Healthcare at Home to support their service
offering in the pharmaceutical sector. Healthcare at Home is already the
leading home healthcare provider in Europe, but a significant growth
opportunity still exists to transform the way in which healthcare services
are provided for patients across the region. With the challenges facing the
pharmaceutical industry, particularly around market access and supply chain
management, Healthcare at Home is ideally placed to become a key partner for
major pharmaceutical companies going forward."
Graeme Duncan, 37, has joined Healthcare at Home as Director
of Strategy of the Company's pharmaceutical services business. Graeme was
most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Caspian Learning, a software
company operating within the simulation and learning sectors, where he
remains a Non-Executive Director. Prior to joining Caspian, Graeme held the
positions of Head of Marketing and Commercial Director of IVAX
Pharmaceuticals UK. This role was preceded by a six-year career at
GlaxoSmithKline and GlaxoWellcome where he held a variety of sales and
marketing roles, the last of which was Marketing Manager for
GlaxoSmithKline's flagship diabetes franchise. Graeme has also worked within
the consulting sector and has led international partnering strategies for
organizations alongside partners including Accenture and IBM. Graeme will
assume responsibility for further developing the corporate strategy for
Healthcare at Home within the pharmaceutical sector, including devising,
developing and launching new innovative services and partnering arrangements
with pharmaceutical companies.
Commenting on his appointment, Graeme Duncan said: "Healthcare
at Home can provide a broad spectrum of services for pharmaceutical
companies. These range from medicine administration and education programmes,
through to high value bespoke patient adherence and market access
initiatives. I am excited to be joining at a time when the pharmaceutical
sector is seeking new and innovative services linked to both market access
and product extension, and feel sure that Healthcare at Home can further
strengthen its position as the partner of choice within this area."
Mike Gordon, Chief Executive of Healthcare at Home, said: "We
are pleased to welcome Nigel and Graeme to Healthcare at Home. Both Nigel and
Graeme bring broad experience that will be important in further developing
our partnerships with global pharmaceutical companies and delivering
continued innovation and growth in our service delivery."
