Available from August 2009, Inverse is Kylie’s exciting first foray into the world of male fragrance. A striking, fresh, ambery oriental scent, it encapsulates the dual characteristics of a modern man’s complex personality, encompassing his intrinsic masculinity and his softer, more sensitive side.

Kylie comments, “With Inverse, I wanted to celebrate the diversity of the opposite sex and create a fragrance for all these men I love. And yet, I also suspect that a woman will want to wear Inverse to appeal to a man with a fragrance they both find irresistible.”

Photographed by William Baker, Kylie’s celebrated stylist and creative director, the print visual features the Spanish male model Andrés Segura Velencoso, one of the most recognisable men in fashion. Hailed as the ‘new male icon’, he is internationally recognised as one of the top models of his generation.

A fresh, ambery oriental, this beautifully constructed fragrance offers surprising masculine notes that are strong yet sensitive.

The fragrance opens with an unexpected combination of frozen lavender and warm spices. Cool cardamom and coriander meet the warm temperament of pepper, cinnamon and star anise. This captivating contrast is energised by the juicy luminosity of blood mandarin to create a fresh and impactful masculinity. It then deepens to a rich, enveloping heart built around smooth and sensual benzoin spiked with warm nutmeg, whilst Venezuelan tonka beans and velvety heliotrope create moments of sweet and irresistible temptation.

Inverse’s unique blend leaves a sensuous trail. Waves of elegant ambery labdanum resin and stylish cedarwood encounter seductive patchouli, diffusing a rich and timeless sophistication.
