BATH, England, November 3, 2011 -

- IPL to present a customer-centric keynote session with Clydesdale Bank on Master Data Management and Data Governance -

IPL, an IT services company specialising in Business Intelligence and Information Management, will be presenting a keynote session on Master Data Management and Data Governance and the critical elements in the future planning for UK Financial Services regulation such as Basel II, Anti-Money Laundering and Mifid, at FIMA 2011 on Thursday 10th November at 11:15am.

The conference will be held at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London from 8th November until 10th November 2011.

Now in its ninth year, FIMA is designed to give attendees innovative ideas, proven strategies and contacts in the world of financial information management.
Visitors are invited to network with industry peers, discuss strategic and business aspects of effective data management strategies, learn from numerous case studies on vendor management, and benchmark their data systems against competitors.

Delivering the keynote session on Master Data Management and Data Governance will be Chris Bradley, Business Consulting Director at IPL. The presentation will be given in conjunction with Martin Campbell, Information Architect at Clydesdale Bank, a key customer for IPL.

Bradley, who recently co-authored the book “Data Modeling for the Business: A Handbook for Aligning the Business with IT Using High-Level Data Models” comments, “FIMA 2011 provides us with a great platform to showcase the business value that can be derived from Master Data Management. Clydesdale Bank will be presenting alongside us at the conference, explaining the challenges they faced when required to restructure its data frameworks for legislative compliance regulation.”

In response to the legislative requirements, Clydesdale Bank created a ten year Information Management roadmap, with IPL, to create accurate, reliable and sustainable information within a secure, ’single source of truth’ data environment. In completing this project, Clydesdale Bank identified a number of opportunities to improve customer service approaches and comply with stringent UK Financial Services regulation through the effective use of Master Data Management and Data Governance.

Bradley concludes, “Supported by our client Clydesdale Bank, we have a great opportunity at FIMA 2011 to educate the industry on the power that a secure Information Management and Data Governance strategy can have when required to be compliant with UK Financial Services regulation. We are therefore looking forward to the opportunities that attending FIMA 2011 will bring.”

IPL are acknowledged as Information Management and Data Governance thought leaders, and its specialists will be available throughout FIMA 2011 allowing delegates to benefit from over thirty years of detailed industry knowledge.
