Maxatec Introduces New Colour Coded Bezels for its Recent Range of POS Terminals

ALTRINCHAM, England - Maxatec has launched a new colourful option to its new range of
electronic point of sale terminals, launched in Q4 2008. The new colour
bezels on the POS terminal allow the customer to colour co-ordinate the POS
terminals to suit the customer’s environment. VFD display and the POS
terminal back plate can also be colour co-ordinated.

“There is a noticeable trend for terminal manufacturers to provide colour
bezels for their POS systems. This is certainly making them stand out from
the usual monochrome POS systems available,” said Andrea Percival, director
of Maxa Technologies: “There is a general move towards stronger brand
enforcement by even the smallest businesses. Technology has always been
associated with maximising efficiencies, and now we can offer our customers a
‘make-over’ as well by colour co-ordinating the equipment to match their
brand. The aim is to reinforce the connection of colour and brand in the
customer’s mind and so create a synergy of POS technology and retail design
to differentiate from the blander terminals.”

Percival added; “Our growing reseller base for POS products is driving a
demand for a broader range of POS terminals. We also recognise that there is
a need for certain necessary features that come with POS terminals, such as
offering a number of communication ports (it varies between products) and to
make sure they are all richly populated when compared with other similar
products on the market today.”

The GT series is a cost effective POS Systems solution with high
functionality and reliability and easy upgrade options. Maxatec will offer
the 15″ TFT display with Touch Panel tilt angle from 0~70 degrees, which
means it has maximum flexibility and convenience. All I/O connectors are
covered under the rear cover to provide easier maintenance and better cable
management. The POS GFT- 120/150 Series is a high performance all in one
fan-free touch screen point of sale terminal. The fanless system is designed
for applications in low noise environments. A major feature is the tool free
maintenance, which provides obvious ease of use and saves time and energy.

Percival added: “Other key advantages, apart from the tool free
maintenance, are that the POS products are modular so it’s possible to add on
MSR, 2nd displays and WiFi at a later date.”

The modularized design includes; 2nd screen, MSR, sound speakers, 3-in-1,
MSR/ Smart card/ i-Button Reader, VFD customer display, WiFi and RFID all of
which can be easily integrated.

With the smallest footprint in the POS PC series, the fanless BOX
delivers a tremendous amount of power in a compact design for an extremely
affordable price. This cost-effective PC fanless BOX system can be configured
as a thick-client, stand-alone solution or a thin-client, centrally
controlled workstation. The PC Box has an option for 2 x VGA ports (when
there is a requirement for multiple LCD monitors).
