Launched in 2009, Mission Workshop quickly moved to a dominant position
in the urban apparel and bag market. By focusing on designs and materials
that address the issues facing city dwellers and urban cyclists, Mission
Workshop has become a brand with a loyal and passionate following.
While keeping a set location in San Francisco for its domestic
headquarters, Mission Workshop has created a mobile concept to showcase its
products in Europe. According to Lyle Barton, Mission Workshop's European
spokesman, "What we like about moving the showroom is that it lets us go into
a new city and connect with the local community. We can spend a few months
letting people interact with the product and see what our brand is all about.
Ironically, we've also found that many of the things we experience and learn
abroad end up influencing the product and brand direction back in San
Francisco."
With great thought given to the location, Mission Workshop has chosen
Brussels, Belgium as the next destination for their traveling store and
showroom. Brussels is a vibrant city with a rich history in cycling and has
the advantage of being easily accessible from most of Europe. Mission
Workshop has teamed up with the local bicycle concept store Fixerati to bring
this showroom to life. On display will be the full Mission Workshop line
including their messenger bags, backpacks, apparel and footwear.
The Brussels engagement will run for three months from April 1 to June 30
and is the second installment of the mobile showroom, the first location was
in London and ran from August of 2010 to April of 2011.
Media Invite: Mission Workshop cordially invites local media in Brussels
to the store opening party on April 1, 2011 from 7pm until late. To schedule
