To enable organizations to more effectively and efficiently protect data and database infrastructure enterprise wide, Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c (www.oracle.com/enterprisemanager/) introduces critical new database security management capabilities that help increase administrator productivity and reduce the on-going costs of IT compliance through greater automation.
Addressing customer requirements for centralized management of database security, a new database security dashboard allows organizations to centrally monitor and configure database access, data encryption, privileged user controls and other security policies.
Organizations can now discover sensitive and regulated data within databases with new application data modeling capabilities that accelerate the deployment of security measures such as data masking.
New data masking capabilities better enable the secure use of production data in non-production environments and provide integration with test data tools
Complete protection of the database lifecycle through automated provisioning, patching, secure configuration and change management allows increased administrator productivity.

Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c introduces a database security dashboard to provide administrators with a comprehensive view of database security measures enterprise wide. This new dashboard also offers an easy-to-use centralized interface for managing Oracle's comprehensive portfolio of database security solutions (www.oracle.com/database/security) .
With hundreds and even thousands of databases to manage, many organizations struggle with knowing which ones contain sensitive and regulated information. To further help administrators protect critical databases, Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c introduces new capabilities for discovering and modeling sensitive and regulated application data. The tool can be used to discover sensitive data such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, and date of birth that needs to be masked, encrypted or audited.
This latest release of Oracle Data Masking Pack includes new features such as:
Integration with Oracle Real Application Testing to allow production database workloads to be captured and masked for safe use in non-production environments;
Integration with Oracle Test Data Management to mask only a subset of a production database;
Masking of data stored in non-Oracle databases through the use of Oracle Database Gateways;
Reversible format-preserving masking; and,
More built-in masking rules and templates.
