Collaboration Promises to Improve Efficiency of Clinical Trial Design and Recruitment

Oracle and Aurora Health Care (www.aurorahealthcare.org/) have entered into an agreement to work together to connect health care providers and the world’s leading life sciences companies in an effort to more rapidly deliver innovative therapies to patients.
The project will focus on the secondary use of clinical data for improving processes for clinical studies including comparative effectiveness research, safety monitoring and long-term observational studies.
As part of the agreement, Oracle will provide data management and analytics expertise to help Aurora Health Care leverage its clinical expertise and maximize the potential of Aurora’s biorepository, ORBIT, to further advance biomarker research.
Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit health system that serves 1.5 million patients a year across 15 hospitals and 155 clinics in eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. It is the largest health system in Wisconsin.
