Highlighting the success that best-in-class manufacturing organizations are achieving with Oracle solutions, Oracle is pleased to announce that 25 of its manufacturing customers have been awarded Progressive Manufacturing 100 Awards for transformational projects that were enabled by Oracle applications and technology.
Manufacturer of the Year winners Eaton Corp. (www.eaton.com/Eaton/index.htm) and Lion Vallen Industries (www.lionprotects.com/) are Oracle customers, as are five of the nine manufacturers to receive the PM100 High Achiever awards, reflecting the tremendous business value proposition Oracle can deliver for manufacturers.
Oracle customer Eaton was acknowledged as the prestigious Progressive Manufacturer of the Year for Large Companies for its global standardization and integration initiative. Using the Oracle E-Business Suite (www.oracle.com/us/products/applications/ebusiness/index.html) and Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (www.oracle.com/us/products/applications/jd-edwards-enterpriseone/index.html) across its multiple sites, Eaton realized $74 million in increased revenue and operational savings.
Lion Vallen received the Progressive Manufacturer of the Year for Small Companies for revamping its distribution supply chain. By incorporating complementary technologies on the Oracle E-Business Suite (www.oracle.com/us/products/applications/ebusiness/index.html) foundation, the company improved productivity, reduced inventory shelf time and increased accuracy, accumulating annual savings of more than $2 million.
In addition, five other Oracle customers were honored with a PM100 High Achiever Award for their use of Oracle applications and technology in achieving operational and business excellence in a core manufacturing discipline.
The seventh annual PM100 Awards, selected by Manufacturing Enterprise Communications, a Thomas Publishing Company, honor 100 manufacturing companies that have transformed themselves through the use of information technology.
Both the Oracle E-Business Suite (www.oracle.com/us/products/applications/ebusiness/index.html) and Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (www.oracle.com/us/products/applications/jd-edwards-enterpriseone/index.html) integrate and automate all key supply chain processes, from design, planning and procurement to manufacturing and fulfillment, providing a complete solution set to enable companies to power information-driven value chains.
