LONDON, October 25, 2010 - There has been a 60% increase in the number of Brits searching
for property in France over the last 12 months, with 67% of those looking to
emigrate on a permanent basis, according to a new survey* released today by
the organisers of The France Show 2011 (www.thefranceshow.com)
Respondents to the survey, carried out among prospective
buyers, estate agents and mortgage lenders, also highlighted that 70% of
buyers were making the move in the hope of achieving a better lifestyle, with
over a third (35%) saying the government's spending cuts had further
motivated them to leave the UK.
