- Autonomy’s Information Platform Empowers Suomen Asiakastieto’s Customers with Innovative New Tools

Autonomy Corporation, an HP Company, today announced that Suomen Asiakastieto, a leading credit and risk management company in Finland, specializing in providing corporate and risk management information, has selected Autonomy’s cornerstone technology IDOL (Intelligent Data Operating Layer) to power its new information analysis tool. The application, called Suhdekartta (or relationship map), is uniquely designed to provide relevant credit ratings and business application information to customers from multiple formats and sources in real time.

Suomen Asiakastieto prides itself in maintaining the most comprehensive private company information database in Finland, which contains up-to-date data on all Finnish companies and their key individuals. Suhdekartta was developed by Suomen Asiakastieto, in partnership with IT services company Eficode, as a business analysis application to leverage the valuable information contained within this database. It allows clients to perform searches on companies and individuals, see the connections between different entities and find common interests. Powered by IDOL, this relationship map can automatically form a conceptual and contextual understanding of all information contained within Suomen Asiakastieto’s database, regardless of location, format or language. IDOL’s advanced meaning-based functionality allows Suhdekartta users to retrieve information on different entities, identify key relationships and view the results on a visually-compelling cluster map.

Autonomy’s solution was the only offering that could provide this service without the need for time-consuming manual tagging of all the information found in Suomen Asiakastieto’s database.  IDOL is able to automatically index all the information and render it searchable based on its meaning, thereby transforming Suomen Asiakastieto’s database into a real asset for the organization and its customers. The innovative approach will enable Suomen Asiakastieto to improve its customer service by empowering its clients with tools that provide a holistic view of relevant business relationships through a centralized, easy-to-use interface.

“At the core of Suomen Asiakastieto’s business offering is a powerful tool that enables our clients to make informed decisions and manage risk based on a comprehensive view of the data pertaining to all related entities,” said Pertti Vahermaa, CIO at Suomen Asiakastieto. “By forming an automatic understanding of the information contained within our database, Autonomy provides the means to allow our customers easy access to business-critical information in the form of the Suhdekartta application. We expect to see a highly positive response to the launch of this innovative platform from our client base.”

“In the face of today’s turbulent economic climate, heightened industry competition and increasingly demanding clientele, companies are looking to deliver improved customer service at a competitive cost,” said Nigel Hutchinson, VP Autonomy Power Solutions EMEA. “Thanks to its meaning-based capabilities, Autonomy is uniquely positioned to help companies solve this challenge by intelligently automating mission-critical processes, rendering businesses more competitive by eliminating time-consuming manual approaches to client servicing.”
