Celebrity Judges Announced for Vegas Spin-Off DJ Contest

Las Vegas has teamed up with world-renowned disc jockeys and music industry heavyweights to unearth and support new electronic music talent. The superstar panel includes LMFAO, DJ VICE, Markus Schulz and Sol Shafer.

Sponsored by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), the Vegas Spin-Off contest seeks the latest electronic music prodigy whose passion for beats and rhythm translates to the turntables. Amateur spinners can listen, share and learn how to enter the competition at www.facebook.com/lasvegas.

Seven finalists will be selected and flown to Las Vegas to perform in a spin-off event at Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Sept. 26. The finalists’ live performances will be filmed and later judged by the entire celebrity panel with the winner announced shortly thereafter. Entries are currently being accepted, through Thursday, Aug. 18.

The grand prize winner will receive an all-expense paid, VIP trip to Las Vegas, the opportunity to open at Surrender Nightclub at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, a $10,000 in-home recording studio, $1,500 in PUMA apparel and a $500 Visa gift card.

ABOUT THE CELEBRITY JUDGE PANEL
