Cloud Billing Software Provider Collaborates with Scribe for Online Billing Integration

LONDON, August 22, 2011 -
MetraTech (www.metratech.com/), the leading provider of agreements-based billing and compensation solutions, has joined forces with global data integration provider Scribe to connect its Metanga cloud billing application to Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other business applications.
Recently showcased at Microsoft’s 2011 Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC), the new technology partnership delivers faster time-to-revenue at a fraction of the cost of traditional cloud-based billing integration solutions.
Independent software vendors (ISVs) providing cloud-based services can use Scribe Online to integrate customer and transactional data between cloud billing application Metanga and other online and on-premise business applications. The Scribe Online platform simplifies the implementation and maintenance of integration solutions and, like Metanga, it is built on the Windows Azure platform.
“The MetraTech and Scribe partnership supports Microsoft’s commitment to the cloud with online offerings for CRM,” said Brad Wilson, general manager, Microsoft Dynamics CRM. “They provide the first integrated billing solution with Dynamics CRM Online for ISVs building industry-based vertical solutions.”
“Using the solutions from Scribe and Metanga, ISVs can benefit from the ability to rapidly develop and deploy next-generation solutions that are based on the Windows Azure platform,” said Aashish Dhamdhere, senior product manager, Windows Azure at Microsoft Corp. “In addition, Scribe and Metanga’s billing solution is integrated with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online.”
The Metanga solution enables the management of customer enrollment, product catalogs, pricing, promotions, invoicing, customer self-care and payment capture for industry verticals, including cloud, business-to-business (B2B), consumptive media, telepresence, broadband and smart grid. It facilitates consumption-based billing for online applications that require more than simplistic recurring credit card billing.
“Today, no application is standalone, especially in the cloud,” said Scott Swartz, founder and CEO of mobile billing and SaaS billing specialist MetraTech. “The billing system is the center of knowledge for financial relationships and for providing that information to other systems, which lets ISVs better manage and service their customers. We selected Scribe because we wanted a partner that could deliver world-class integration in the Windows Azure environment in the most efficient and effective manner possible for our ISV customers.”
“Metanga is unique among cloud billing offerings in that it draws upon MetraTech’s years of experience in developing and operating billing systems for service innovation leaders,” said Lou Guercia, president and CEO of Scribe. “We built Scribe Online based on our years of integration experience to support the needs of ISVs; it is the data integration solution of choice for Azure ISVs. Our partnership with MetraTech and Metanga provides simplified data transfer between applications in the cloud and on- premise to get solutions to market quickly and to speed up cloud adoption.”
