Personalized Browser-Based Application Enhanced to Include Real-Time Data Account Status and Upgrades
HERZLIA, Israel, February 14, 2011 - Flash Networks, a global provider of intelligent mobile Internet
solutions, announced today the availability of enhanced features for My-i
Toolbar, a browser-based application toolbox that enriches the open Internet
browsing experience. The solution provides users with enhanced search
capabilities, connectivity to social networks, and easy discovery of operator
and online content and services. My-i Toolbar, launched on smartphones last
year, is now available on laptops and netbooks and has been enhanced to
provide real-time notifications of subscriber account status to improve
service and increase customer loyalty.
Recently deployed at a European operator, My-i Toolbar brings
account status information directly to the subscriber, eliminating the need
to contact the operator's customer care center. Prepaid subscribers are
presented with real-time information about credit remaining in their data
account with the opportunity to replenish their account with a single click.
Deployed after receiving extensive positive feedback from a
subscriber pilot, My-i Toolbar simplifies and speeds up the renewal process,
encouraging users to recharge their accounts more often and benefit from
special operator offers.
My-i is an un-intrusive, interactive toolbar that can be invoked
by the user to access relevant content, promoted value-added applications,
and personalized notifications. Supporting smartphones, netbooks and laptops,
My-i Toolbar offers subscribers a consistent, enriched browsing experience
while roaming from one device to another. Operators benefit from a new way to
differentiate their offering and monetize the Internet access beyond selling
more data packages. Installed on the operator network, the solution requires
no client installation.
"Operators are looking for ways to open lines of communication with their
subscribers and bring additional value through targeted content and special
offers," said Merav Bahat, Vice President of Marketing and Business
Development at Flash Networks. "My-i Toolbar provides operators with
phone-top real estate, enabling them to promote their brand across devices
and provide access to relevant content and services according to subscribers'
interests."
Flash Networks' My-i Toolbar is available as part of the Harmony(TM)
Mobile Internet Services Gateway which enables operators to enhance user
quality of experience, reduce operational expenses, and manage and monetize
access to the open Internet by applying best-in-class services to mobile data
traffic.
Flash Networks' My-i Toolbar will be demonstrated at Mobile World
Congress 2011, February 14-17 in Barcelona, at Flash Networks' booth in Hall
2, Stand 2B75.
