Dubai International Arbitration Centre Organises 5th Open Dialogue in Seoul

Based on the Success of London and Paris Open Dialogues, the Event Will Help Raise Awareness of World-Class Services Offered in the Field of International Arbitration by the Centre

DUBAI, UAE, February 14, 2011 - After the success of their earlier overseas arbitration
dialogues held in London and Paris last year, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce &
Industry's initiative of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) is
organising its 5th Arbitration Dialogue in Seoul, Korea, on March 2, 2011.

Entitled "Meet DIAC and its Executive Committee" the open
dialogue is being held at The Shilla Hotel on the sidelines of the 14th
Annual IBA International Arbitration Day on March 3 and 4, being attended by
global arbitration delegates.

The purpose of this international open dialogue is to raise
awareness of the Centre and to provide a fitting platform for international
users of DIAC to meet directly the Executive Committee members and to have an
open discussion with them about DIAC rules and services that are at par with
the ones provided by the leading arbitration centres in the world.

The panel of speakers include Dr. Habib Al Mulla, Vice
Chairman DIAC Board of Trustees, and Essam Al Tamimi, Member, DIAC Board of
Trustees, Dr Hadif Al Owais, DIAC Acting Director and Vice-Chairman, DIAC
Executive Committee and the Executive Committee members including Michael E.
Schneider
, Dr Tarek Fouad A. Riad and Dr Fathi Kemicha who will discuss a
range of important topics relating to commercial arbitration and neutrality,
notably transparency and fairness in the arbitration, and cost issues related
to arbitration cases.

The open dialogue will be of particular interest to practicing lawyers,
Arbitrators, Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) practitioners, litigators,
judges, and other ADR experts and users, business people and academics
wishing to acquire greater knowledge about international standards of
arbitration practiced at the Dubai-based Centre.

As a leading arbitration centre in the region, DIAC seeks to
provide a flexible and impartial mechanism in resolving and settling
international disputes. It oversees the procedures of arbitration in
commercial disputes, appointment of arbitrators, fixing the place of
arbitration and the arbitrators' fees. Playing its role of a pioneer in
arbitration in the region, the Centre-organized open dialogues in London and
Paris which were very well received by the attendees as the event helped in
enhance the reputation of the Centre globally.
